ACCOMMODATION

At Ombak Indah we can accommodate a maximum of 30 guests, with 3 standards of rooms from budget thru to premium, each priced accordingly.
Standard rooms Standard en suite rooms Premium rooms
There are 6 budget rooms located in the main building, 2 single and 4 twin share.  They have foam mattresses, pillows, linen, mosquito nets and are fan cooled.  Although basic, these rooms are comfortable and secure. There are 2 shared external 'mandi' style bathrooms and flush toilets within a few metres from these rooms.

There are 3 standard twin-share rooms, all with ensuite bathrooms.  These rooms are bigger than the budget rooms and have spring mattresses, pillows, linen, mosquito nets and are fan cooled.  The ensuite bathrooms have Indo style mandis and flush toilets.  The ensuites give added comfort, no walking around outside or waiting for a mandi to be vacated.

Awaiting new images.
We have 4 new premium rooms.  Two of these room have a double bed and 2 single beds, ideal for couples or families.  The other 2 rooms have 4 single beds perfect for groups of friends. Cooled by ceiling fans and standing fans, all beds have spring mattresses and mosquito nets. The bathrooms are western style, with flush toilets and showers.

All rooms come equipped with:

* Mosquito nets
* Linen which is changed regularly
* Cooling fans (and ceiling fans in the premium rooms). Please note that the power supply to the area is very erratic and water heaters and air conditioners are not generally a success.  We have facility for these things but that will have to be in the future when services to the area catch up to the 21st century.
* Power points for charging batteries etc (see Power & Facilities below)
* All the bathrooms and mandis are cold water. The water is all from underground and accessed by wells.  Fresh and clear, it's a good way to rinse up after a surf, or just to cool down.  Pulling up a couple of bucketfuls from the well and tipping them over yourself becomes a treasured daily ritual.  Primo!
Dining & Meals
Breakfast

Meals are served in a large common dining area overlooking the yard and reef. Three meals per day are included, along with hot drinks during meal times. Breakfast alternates between jaffles, omelettes, fried rice or noodles, toast & spreads, pancakes all served with fresh fruit (the range of fruit provided is subject to availability). Lunch and dinner are local style beef, chicken or fish dishes, served with vegetables and rice. Spices are toned down for the western palette, with sambal and kecup on the side. Servings are generous and delicious, with an extensive variety of menus.

We cater for vegetarians but due to our remote location we have difficulty providing for the dietary needs of vegans.

Breakfast is served from 7-10am, lunch at 12 midday and dinner around 6pm.

For those with big appetites, additional meals can be pruchased outside meal time (e.g. nasi & mie goreng, jaffles etc).
Bar & Shop
The bar and kitchen

There is a bar that sells cold beer, soft drinks, water, snacks and other essentials. Fresh fruit juices are also available.
Power Facilities
There is 240 Volt AC mains electricity, with a backup generator for when the power goes down. You will require an adaptor (2 pin, standard for Asia, pins are round, not rectangular) to connect to the power points to charge your batteries etc.
Communications
The area has mobile reception (for all networks) although the signal strength can vary from time to time. International calls can be made from the main town of Krui, about 1/2 hour away by car or bemo.

There is an internet service in Krui, although it is not that reliable. Guests with laptops and modems that connect to their mobile phones should be able to get internet connection, but the connection speeds can be painfully slow.
Transport Services
Transport (cars and mini-vans, with or without AC) can be hired through the losmen at fixed prices. Just speak to the manager. For the more adventurous, local public transport (bemos) runs regularly along the nearby main road.

Motor bikes are available for hire, most with board racks.  Motor bikes are a great way to see the area, as long as your travel insurance covers you!  Speak to our authorised travel agents.  Be warned, however, make sure that your travel insurance covers you for motor bike riding.
