Ombak Indah has a staff of about 12-14 during the season, all dedicated to providing the best professional service they can, to make sure you go home with great memories, not only of the waves you had but also the time spent at Ombak Indah.

Your hosts are Nev and Ani Hines.

Nev was instrumental in the discovery and exploration and finding of many waves in this area and after 16 yrs he has a good knowledge and understanding of the coast and the people. If ever you whinge about the condition of the roads, facilities (lack of) or limited availability of things we take for granted back home, he'll give you a story about the early days looking for waves around here.

Ani is the one who gets things done. She has to liaise with the local burocracy that seems to get attracted to the camp, handling the day to day dealings with local suppliers, looking after the female staff and maintaining morale. If you need airline tickets to Jakarta or other destinations Ani is the one to see. With just a couple of phone calls she can have you booked to wherever you want to go.

Both are very friendly and helpful and not afraid to go that extra yard to ensure you enjoy your stay at Ombak Indah. Nev has pretty good Indonesian language skills and Ani has good English so all situations can be covered.

Salma is head of the kitchen staff and has had plenty of experience feeding tourists and hungry surfers. Salma pretty much always has a smile and rarely gets down. She's ably assisted by 3 other staff and most of the day the kitchen is full of chatter and laughter while they go about preparing the next delicious meal. Making guests tea or coffee is never a hassle and the girls soon get to know individual guests preferences. Vegetarians are catered for. Just make your requirements known to Salma or Ani on arrival.

Toni is head of security and with his team gives 24hr security at Ombak Indah. Any non guests or staff, western or local must report to security before entering the grounds. Any strangers are challenged and escorted from the grounds if they don't have a legitimate reason for being there. We're very particular about strangers walking around and being on the verandahs. During the night the security team regularly patrol the grounds. They'll also help with late arrivals, carrying bags and boards etc to the rooms.

Robert is in charge of camp maintenance and keeping the gardens and camp looking tidy and clean. He has a team of workers to assist him in this task and they will all help guests with any assistance needed. They, like the security staff will check any strangers wandering around and make sure no unauthorized persons are on the premises.

Faisal , as well as being the manager of the bar/shop is the assistant manager of the losmen, taking care of the smooth running of the camp whenever Nev and Ani have to be away. Faisal has one assistant working with him in the bar and they will make sure the beers and soft drinks are icy cold for you. Also available are snacks, chocolate, T shirts and other items such as soap, shampoo, leg ropes etc. Faisal is also pretty good on guitar and table tennis.

Ratna works in the kitchen along site Salma and is always provides service with a smile.

Armen is the losmen driver and ensures you get to and from the losmen and airport at Bandar Lampung safely and in comfort.

Rita is assists in the bar/shop and ia always ready to serve you an icy cold beer, soft drink or any other item including snacks, chocolate, T shirts and other items such as soap, shampoo, leg ropes etc.

Agro, brother of the late Bob, is top dog of security. His bark is worse than his bite.
